I have spent 17 seasons working at two different golf courses, the last of which I helped build from the ground up. I was responsible for cutting trees from the fairway, planting the very first grass seed, and cutting the greens for the very first time. It was a job I enjoyed but one that only happened in the summertime and left you unemployed for half the year which wouldn't let you get ahead. I was hired by Testori Americas Corp to operate their CNC (Computer Numeric Control) machine in the spring of 2004 and stayed for almost seven years because I wanted something better for my family. In 2011 Japan had a massive tsunami which caused a great deal of damage, part of that damage happened to a company Testori happened to be selling parts to and as a result that company cancelled the contract they had with us which made me unemployed. In 2012 after trying my hand at meat cutting and finding out it wasn't for me the bees became more then just a hobby, I made the decision to become a commercial beekeeper. My wife Corinne has owned and operated Sonshine Books and Gifts for more than 31 years at the time of this writing. She help's process and sell the honey that is harvested at Ken's Honey Bee Farm and will be part of the harvesting in the years to come. We have three children (Andre, Naomi, and Evan) and three grandchildren (Tait, Toby, and Callie). It is my hope that Ken's Honey Bee Farm will continue to grow and provide an all natural chemical free organic honey for all my customers along with many years of enjoyment for both myself and my family. We look forward to seeing you at Ken's Honey Bee Farm. Find us at 2567 O'Leary Road ,O'Leary PEI Canada.
